Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for renewable generation and other sectors.
  • Develop design documents and reports, including layouts and schematics.
  • Collaborate daily with multi-disciplinary teams across Kimley-Horn offices.
  • Prepare project specifications and electrical construction cost estimates.
  • Assist in mentoring and training junior staff to grow the electrical engineering practice.
  • Support the growth of electrical engineering service areas in the local market and nationwide.
  • Travel for site visits and client meetings as needed.

Job Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in an Electrical Engineering role.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Understanding of National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE, and ANSI Standards.
  • Ability to work in a team and mentor junior staff.
  • Preferred experience in utility-scale projects and engineering project management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and power system analysis software.
