Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for renewable generation and other sectors.
- Develop design documents and reports, including layouts and schematics.
- Collaborate daily with multi-disciplinary teams across Kimley-Horn offices.
- Prepare project specifications and electrical construction cost estimates.
- Assist in mentoring and training junior staff to grow the electrical engineering practice.
- Support the growth of electrical engineering service areas in the local market and nationwide.
- Travel for site visits and client meetings as needed.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in an Electrical Engineering role.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Understanding of National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code, IEEE, and ANSI Standards.
- Ability to work in a team and mentor junior staff.
- Preferred experience in utility-scale projects and engineering project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and power system analysis software.
