Responsibilities
- Utilize SmartPlant3D and other design tools for electrical equipment and systems layout and drafting.
- Properly size cables and raceways.
- Design electrical buildings and systems including duct bank, embedded conduit, and lighting systems.
- Check 3D models for interferences and constructability using Navisworks.
- Route electrical cables in a 3D environment and generate cable schedules.
- Perform calculations for conduit fill and pull box sizing according to NEC requirements.
- Identify scope changes and produce necessary design modifications.
Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Design and/or Drafting disciplines with a focus on electrical design.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting/Design preferred; minimum High School or GED with relevant training.
- Proficiency in 3D design programs such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and SmartPlant 3D.
- Experience in conceptualizing designs/models in a 3D environment, particularly in power generation.
- Ability to work independently and in a multi-discipline team environment.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Regular attendance and ability to meet deadlines.
