The role involves working as an experienced-level Instrumentation and Controls Engineer within Kiewit Power Engineering. The engineer will provide technical expertise and leadership for instrumentation and control projects, working independently or as part of a larger team.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a lead or support engineer on various projects, addressing technical issues related to SCADA systems and I&C projects.
  • Evaluate and apply engineering techniques for projects of varying complexity.
  • Ensure compliance with contract and customer requirements in project execution.
  • Contribute to client proposals and project cost estimates.
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications in accordance with industry standards.
  • Perform bid evaluations and prepare recommendations for equipment selection.
  • Mentor and direct entry and mid-level employees in their development.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering, with at least 3 years in power generation.
  • Familiarity with control system programming and experience with SCADA systems and PLC.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
