The role involves working as an experienced-level Instrumentation and Controls Engineer within Kiewit Power Engineering. The engineer will provide technical expertise and leadership for instrumentation and control projects, working independently or as part of a larger team.
Responsibilities
- Act as a lead or support engineer on various projects, addressing technical issues related to SCADA systems and I&C projects.
- Evaluate and apply engineering techniques for projects of varying complexity.
- Ensure compliance with contract and customer requirements in project execution.
- Contribute to client proposals and project cost estimates.
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications in accordance with industry standards.
- Perform bid evaluations and prepare recommendations for equipment selection.
- Mentor and direct entry and mid-level employees in their development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering, with at least 3 years in power generation.
- Familiarity with control system programming and experience with SCADA systems and PLC.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
