Responsibilities
- Design mechanical assemblies for high stability optical positioning.
- Analyze design performance using 3D CAD and finite element analysis (FEA).
- Conduct experiments to characterize optical stability and reliability.
- Develop manufacturing processes for product assembly and alignment.
- Design tools and fixtures for optical components assembly.
- Define and transfer manufacturing processes to production staff.
- Troubleshoot opto-mechanical production issues and support repairs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in precision machining and kinematic design.
- Experience with tooling design for opto-mechanical assemblies.
- Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance chains for assembly performance.
- Understanding of precision alignment and metrology techniques.
- Experience with optical-based integrated systems testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
