Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature reviews.
  • Perform comparative analysis of various thermodynamic models for solvent systems.
  • Summarize model performance and make recommendations for applications.
  • Develop a detailed workflow/playbook for modeling solvent systems.
  • Collaborate with teams on projects.
  • Present findings to multidisciplinary audiences.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.

Job Requirements

  • Enrollment in a doctorate program in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Experience with modeling and programming (Python, MATLAB, Aspen Plus).
  • Strong understanding of VLE and LLE phase behaviors and thermodynamic principles.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with equation-of-state models and activity coefficient models.
  • Experience in computational thermodynamics and optimization techniques.
