Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews.
- Perform comparative analysis of various thermodynamic models for solvent systems.
- Summarize model performance and make recommendations for applications.
- Develop a detailed workflow/playbook for modeling solvent systems.
- Collaborate with teams on projects.
- Present findings to multidisciplinary audiences.
- Work independently and in a team environment.
Job Requirements
- Enrollment in a doctorate program in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Experience with modeling and programming (Python, MATLAB, Aspen Plus).
- Strong understanding of VLE and LLE phase behaviors and thermodynamic principles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with equation-of-state models and activity coefficient models.
- Experience in computational thermodynamics and optimization techniques.
