Responsibilities
- Interpret customer design input requirements and develop project scope and schedule.
- Participate in early-stage concept development and create preliminary 3D CAD models.
- Present design concepts during the Preliminary Design Review.
- Perform design changes based on team feedback.
- Finalize 3D CAD models and generate 2D CAD drawings.
- Work with procurement to select vendors and procure prototypes.
- Create Design Validation Test Plans and assist in testing.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical design principles.
- Familiarity with materials such as metals, plastics, and rubber is helpful.
- Experience with CAD software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must remain enrolled in a degree program after the internship.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR regulations.
