Responsibilities
- Lead a team of mechanical engineers for the Continuous Improvement of the da Vinci® Surgical System.
- Coach and evaluate team members throughout the year, including annual performance reviews.
- Manage team assignments, priorities, and budget.
- Provide guidance in complex situations and conflicting goals.
- Support the commercialization of existing products by ensuring quality through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Drive continuous improvement by synthesizing information and formulating long-term projects.
- Maintain risk and requirement documentation related to the system.
Job Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years designing complex commercial mechanical products.
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of solving complex problems.
- Experience in leading and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Good understanding of medical device and robot design concepts.
- Knowledge of design controls and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction across all levels and functions.
