Responsibilities
- Lead a team of mechanical engineers in continuous improvement of the da Vinci® Surgical System.
- Coach and evaluate team members, providing feedback and development plans.
- Manage team assignments, priorities, and budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement projects based on field data and team input.
- Maintain risk and requirement documentation for the system.
- Support commercialization efforts and troubleshoot issues from manufacturing and field operations.
Job Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing complex mechanical products.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in design controls and risk management.
- Technical knowledge of electro-mechanical products and manufacturing processes.
- Analytical skills for problem-solving and decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
