Responsibilities
- Lead a team of mechanical engineers in continuous improvement of the da Vinci® Surgical System.
- Coach and provide feedback to team members throughout the year.
- Manage team assignments, priorities, and budget.
- Support commercialization of existing products and resolve issues from the field.
- Drive continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain risk and requirement documentation related to the system.
- Provide guidance through complex situations or conflicting goals.
Job Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing complex mechanical products.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.
- Good understanding of medical device design and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis and design controls.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels and functions.
- Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
