Responsibilities
- Develop opto-mechanical packaging designs for Silicon Photonics devices.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with product designs.
- Collaborate with teams to determine package requirements.
- Identify and manage suppliers for design and production.
- Conduct tolerance analysis for components and sub-assemblies.
- Design assembly and test tooling for validation.
- Create component drawings and generate Bill of Materials (BOM).
Job Requirements
- BS with 4+ years of experience in product design and development.
- 3+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in 3D design software such as Solidworks.
- Experience with product documentation and schematics.
- Preferred MS or advanced degree in a related engineering field.
- Experience in the optical/photonics industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of thermal design and simulation tools.
