Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom digital circuits for CPUs, including memory and caches.
- Create floorplans and perform circuit design, schematic entry, and simulations for CPU blocks.
- Develop block level DFT models and memory test tools, improving design workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track and resolve CPU design issues.
- Optimize CPU circuit performance, power, and area while reducing leakage.
- Work with architecture and layout teams to ensure robust and functional circuit designs.
- Demonstrate strong logical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.
- 1+ years of experience in CMOS circuit design and digital logic.
- Knowledge of circuit design trade-offs for power, performance, and area.
- Familiarity with Very Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) and low power implementation techniques.
- Experience in memory design.
- Strong fundamentals in digital logic and optimizations.
- Relevant experience can include schoolwork, projects, internships, or military experience.
