CPU Circuit Design Engineer

The role involves working as a Digital Circuit Design Engineer within Intel's Atom CPU Circuit Technology team, focusing on the design and development of custom digital circuits for CPUs, including memory and caches.

• Design, develop, and build custom digital circuits for a CPU.
• Perform circuit design, schematic entry, and simulation for CPU blocks.
• Create block level DFT models and develop memory test tools.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to report design progress and resolve issues.
• Optimize performance, power, and area of CPU circuits.
• Work with CPU architecture and layout teams for circuit functionality.
• Demonstrate logical thinking, communication skills, and analytical problem-solving.

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.
• 1+ years of experience in high-tech companies.
• Strong fundamentals in CMOS circuit design and digital logic.
• Experience with VLSI and low power implementation techniques.
• Knowledge of circuit design trade-offs for power, performance, and area.
• Memory design experience.
• Good verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
