Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and test surgical tooling for precise placement of device leads in the brain.
- Develop surgical procedures, including iterative processes with surgeons and in vivo testing.
- Create implanted hardware such as cables, connectors, and enclosures.
- Conduct verification and validation testing of systems and components.
- Engage in the design, assembly, and manufacturing of medical devices.
- Develop mechanical tests and participate in preclinical testing.
- Manage packaging, sterilization, and vendor relationships.
Job Requirements
- Deep experience in surgical tool and procedure development.
- Knowledge in design, assembly, and manufacturing of medical devices.
- Familiarity with mechanical test development and preclinical testing.
- Understanding of packaging and sterilization processes.
- Experience with surgical targeting systems and image analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD and prototype fabrication.
- Cross-disciplinary knowledge in biomedical engineering, materials science, or software engineering.
