Responsibilities
- Own all aspects of hardware development from concept through launch.
- Formulate the comprehensive cradle-to-grave roadmap for hardware.
- Establish driving loads and develop efficient structural designs.
- Perform and document analysis to support design intent.
- Identify, specify, and source commercial components as required.
- Incorporate manufacturing trades into conceptual design.
- Communicate effectively with adjacent teams to ensure hardware assumptions are understood.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in CAD software and ability to model complex shapes.
- Experience in conceptual design, fabrication, and testing of hardware.
- Ability to communicate technical challenges effectively.
- Preferred: Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Preferred: 5+ years of mechanical design & analysis with space-flown hardware.
