Responsibilities
- Engineer, implement, test, and commission control panels for batch and continuous control applications.
- Provide electrical and hardware engineering support to the panel design team.
- Understand project scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations to develop customer solutions.
- Provide technical support for Project Management and Sales teams.
- Develop high-quality hardware designs, including functional requirement definitions and control strategies.
- Conduct integrated system testing and replace obsolete control systems with Emerson solutions.
- Perform startup and commissioning functions for projects at customer sites.
Job Requirements
- Four-year degree in engineering or a computer discipline, with emphasis on electrical engineering.
- 5+ years of process control or related automation experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of current distributed control systems, particularly Emerson's DeltaV.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read P&IDs, datasheets, and electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ISA, IEC, API, and UL codes and standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
