Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, manufacture, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of test assets (including test facilities and test rigs).
- Develop and execute tests at the system and component levels to evaluate hardware performance and survivability during the mission.
- Develop innovative processes to increase testing capability and rate, while maintaining high safety standards.
- Develop and maintain test procedures, sequences, scripts, configuration files, and software.
- Design test fixtures and supporting hardware for test rigs and test setups.
- Operate and troubleshoot data acquisition and control systems, wiring, and instrumentation.
- Identify and characterize systemic pitfalls and potential hazards, resolving them through collaboration with a cross-functional team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with test equipment.
- Strong working knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and mechanical design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think creatively and develop outside-the-box solutions.
- Effective communication skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Enjoy working in a team and able to work efficiently under stress.
