Responsibilities
- Conduct engineering work with commuter, subway, and light rail trains.
- Perform and/or witness tests and investigations of train performance characteristics.
- Set up and utilize electrical measurement equipment for various tests.
- Investigate equipment malfunctions and report findings.
- Oversee implementation of equipment modifications by carbuilders and suppliers.
- Develop technical specifications for new and upgraded train equipment and systems.
- Participate in design review meetings and new equipment qualification efforts at supplier facilities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
- Experience in design and maintenance of rail vehicles or complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Understanding of core electrical engineering concepts (circuit design, power engineering, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
