Responsibilities
- Lead characterization, qualification, modeling, analysis, design, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical designs.
- Coach and develop other employees as a technical expert.
- Create and maintain best practices incorporating Reliability, Health, Safety, and Environment concepts.
- Collaborate with product management, tech advisors, and technology teams.
- Publish in patent applications, technical journals, and conferences.
- Represent Halliburton in external professional societies and conferences.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline with 10+ years of experience.
- Preferred completion of a master’s or doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with SolidWorks (or similar 3D modeling) and product lifecycle management software.
- Proficiency in engineering modeling tools like FEA and CFD.
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques for downhole tool components.
- Excellent publication and patent record.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in complex engineering projects.
