Responsibilities
- Design metallic pressure vessel primary and secondary structures.
- Review specifications and other engineering data to develop mechanical systems.
- Create mechanical designs that meet all requirements.
- Create detailed component and assembly drawings incorporating GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
- Design test plans and generate verification reports.
- Collaborate with suppliers and the manufacturing team to implement designs.
- Serve as a reliable expert on the system throughout the product lifecycle.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex projects.
- Expertise in metallic pressure vessel design and analysis.
- Familiarity with CAD packages such as NX/Solidworks.
- Strong understanding of drafting standards and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
- Knowledge of loads such as pressure, vibration, shock, and thermal design considerations.
