Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members on creating future data center architecture and design concepts.
- Investigate renewable power generation, storage technologies, and other carbon-free energy (CFE) technologies for integration into electrical systems.
- Create and maintain electrical single line and layout plans for efficient field implementation.
- Develop architecture and products that form the reference design for Google Data Centers.
- Implement solutions for fast, cost-effective construction and delivery of data center projects.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration for the adoption of the latest architecture in data center designs.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
- 10 years of technical leadership experience in industrial power system design and testing.
- Experience in infrastructure design of electrical systems for mission-critical facilities.
- Knowledge of electric power industry standards and building codes.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Engineering or relevant fields and a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Experience with High Voltage (HV), Medium Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
- Familiarity with data center electrical systems design and operation.
