Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members on creating future data center architecture and design concepts.
- Investigate renewable power generation, storage technologies, and other carbon-free energy technologies for integration into electrical system architecture.
- Create and maintain plan of record electrical single line and layouts for quick implementation in the field.
- Develop architecture and products that form the reference design for Google Data Centers.
- Implement solutions that lead to fast, cost-effective construction and delivery.
- Drive required cross-functional collaboration with other teams for the adoption of the latest architecture into Data center designs.
- Ensure compliance with codes and standards while serving as an expert in specialty areas like cooling and electrical systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10 years of technical leadership experience with industrial power system design and development.
- Experience in infrastructure design of electrical systems and mission-critical facility environments.
- Knowledge of electric power industry standards, building codes, and safety standards.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Engineering or relevant fields and Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Experience with High Voltage (HV), Medium Voltage (MV), and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
- Familiarity with data center electrical systems design and operation.
