Responsibilities
- Collaborate with executive team members on creating future data center architecture and design concepts.
- Investigate renewable power generation, storage technologies, and other carbon-free energy technologies for integration into electrical systems.
- Create and maintain electrical single line and layout plans for field implementation.
- Develop architecture and products that serve as reference designs for Google Data Centers.
- Identify and propose innovative power distribution methods within data center server halls.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards.
- Drive implementation of infrastructure improvements and solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10 years of experience in a technical leadership role in industrial power system design, development, and testing.
- Experience in infrastructure design of electrical systems and mission-critical facility environments.
- Familiarity with electric power industry standards and building codes.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Engineering or a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Preferred: Experience in high voltage and medium voltage infrastructure design.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams in hardware engineering and server rack design.
