Responsibilities
- Collaborate with executive team members on creating future data center architecture and design concepts.
- Investigate renewable power generation, storage technologies, and other carbon-free energy (CFE) technologies.
- Create and maintain a plan of record electrical single line and layouts for quick implementation in the field.
- Develop architecture and products that will form the reference design for Google Data Centers.
- Identify and propose innovative ways of distributing power within the data center server hall.
- Ensure compliance with codes and standards in electrical system design.
- Drive implementation of infrastructure improvements and solutions for power and energy challenges.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10 years of experience in a technical leadership role with industrial power system design.
- Experience in infrastructure design of electrical systems and mission-critical facility design.
- Familiarity with electric power industry standards and building codes.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Engineering or a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- 10 years of experience in high voltage and medium voltage infrastructure design.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams in hardware engineering.
