Senior Electrical Lead

The Senior Electrical Lead is responsible for overseeing electrical systems design and implementation for data center projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety regulations. The role requires extensive experience in electrical engineering, particularly in mission-critical environments.

• Act as the lead electrical engineer for third-party data center projects, ensuring adherence to Google's technical standards.
• Coordinate with third-party engineering firms, aligning project goals and providing technical recommendations on global projects.
• Provide subject matter expertise on power systems, including protection, controls, and low/medium/high voltage distribution.
• Lead the technical review and evaluation of electrical designs, ensuring they meet required power, reliability, and safety standards.
• Develop infrastructure improvements and serve as an expert in electrical specialties.
• Communicate recommendations to senior-level executives and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations throughout project lifecycles.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 12 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction environments.
• Proficiency in power distribution, protection schemes, and control systems.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and project management principles.
• Preferred Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or relevant field.
• Experience with medium and high voltage systems, including substations and electrical distribution systems.
• Familiarity with data center equipment and environments, including startup and commissioning processes.
