Responsibilities
- Act as the lead electrical engineer for all third-party data center projects, ensuring adherence to Google's technical standards.
- Coordinate with third-party engineering firms, aligning project goals and providing technical recommendations on all global projects.
- Provide subject matter expertise on power systems, including protection, controls, and low/medium/high voltage distribution.
- Lead the technical review and evaluation of electrical designs, ensuring they meet the required power, reliability, and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with codes and standards, developing infrastructure improvements.
- Generate ideas and communicate recommendations to senior-level executives.
- Drive implementation alongside facilities technicians.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 12 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction.
- 10 years of experience with power distribution, protection schemes, and control systems.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and project management principles.
- Preferred Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or relevant field.
- Experience with medium and high voltage systems, including substations and emergency power systems.
- Familiarity with data center equipment and commissioning processes.
