Responsibilities
- Prototype new mechanical and electrical concepts, develop validation plans, and perform testing to move design maturity forward.
- Contribute to the design of moderately complex subsystems or multiple individual parts from concept to production.
- Manage, organize, and maintain laboratory equipment for Electrical and Mechanical engineering labs, including calibration and consumables.
- Develop and maintain documentation for lab procedures, test methods, and work instructions.
- Manage laboratory budget, purchasing of equipment, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and relevant industry standards.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to define and deliver products.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in lab management with electrical and mechanical engineering.
- 1 year of experience designing mechanical components and using CAD tools.
- Experience with electrical systems, test equipment, and lab management.
- Preferred: Master's degree in a related field and 5 years of lab management experience.
- Experience in consumer product design and system integration.
- Ability to read schematics and perform electrical rework.
