Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturing strategy and perform Design for Excellence (DFX) for thermal assemblies.
- Act as a technical representative for the Thermal Commodity team, providing expertise in supplier selection and management.
- Research and qualify advanced thermal manufacturing solutions for future product requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and product designs.
- Identify opportunities for process, tooling, and automation to support high volume manufacturing.
- Provide support for manufacturing and field quality issues, resolving manufacturing/supplier issues.
- Collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to ensure product specifications are met.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- 3 years of experience in process or product development for thermal assemblies.
- Experience with various manufacturing processes such as Precision Machining and Brazing.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field.
- Preferred: Experience with solid modeling CAD and thermal analysis tools.
- Understanding of thermal transport mechanisms for heatsinks.
