Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing strategy and perform Design for Excellence (DFX) for thermal assemblies.
  • Act as a technical representative for the Thermal Commodity team, providing expertise in supplier selection and management.
  • Research and qualify advanced thermal manufacturing solutions for future product requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and product designs.
  • Identify opportunities for process, tooling, and automation to support high volume manufacturing.
  • Provide support for manufacturing and field quality issues, resolving manufacturing/supplier issues.
  • Collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to ensure product specifications are met.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • 3 years of experience in process or product development for thermal assemblies.
  • Experience with various manufacturing processes such as Precision Machining and Brazing.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Preferred: Experience with solid modeling CAD and thermal analysis tools.
  • Understanding of thermal transport mechanisms for heatsinks.
