Hardware Power Test Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data to support engineering decisions during hardware R&D.
  • Collaborate with hardware designers to understand project architectures and system components.
  • Define and document electrical characterization and validation of power distribution networks.
  • Troubleshoot electrical component defects and design issues.
  • Support design engineers with debugging and validation of components.
  • Develop automated test procedures for qualification and testing.
  • Liaise between hardware engineering teams and lab teams for resource management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a power electronics technical environment, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
  • Physical capability to lift/move 40lb of equipment and perform physical tasks.
  • Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with power measurement equipment and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
  • Knowledge of DC-DC converters and power management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with power testing methodologies and hardware validation.
