Responsibilities
- Contribute to CPU frontend designs, focusing on microarchitecture and RTL design.
- Propose performance-enhancing microarchitecture features and conduct trade-off studies.
- Communicate the pros and cons of microarchitecture enhancements for decision-making.
- Deliver designs that meet power, performance, and area (PPA) goals with production quality.
- Become familiar with state-of-the-art techniques for processor functional blocks.
- Provide guidance for performance modeling efforts based on design constructs.
- Collaborate with architects and performance teams to achieve design goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience with digital logic design principles and RTL design concepts.
- Experience with microprocessor architecture.
- Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in related fields.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, and Python.
- Familiarity with general-purpose operating systems like Linux or Android.
- Experience with modern processor microarchitecture and related technologies.
