Responsibilities
- Own and drive Google CPU silicon activities in a laboratory facility located in Austin.
- Provide daily laboratory and equipment management and upgrades as needed.
- Test chip validation, silicon power measurements, correlation, competitive performance, and power analysis.
- Develop test patterns for power analysis, yield analysis, functionality testing, and speed testing.
- Develop data science-based methods to profile workloads for performance and power to drive various activities related to power analysis and optimization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years experience working in an electrical silicon lab.
- Experience with timing, performance, power measurements, and JTAG.
- Experience with Python-based automation and scripting for data analysis.
- Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in relevant fields with an emphasis on computer architecture.
- Experience with PCB-level mixed-signal validation/debug on various IPs.
- Experience with validation on PLLs, ADC, Current Sensor, and related devices.
