Responsibilities
- Develop substation layout drawings, including plans, elevations, and material lists.
- Create substation one lines, three lines, and various power system schematics.
- Prepare calculations and reports for client presentations.
- Specify equipment for substation components and construction.
- Collaborate on power substation projects to enhance company presence.
- Build and maintain client relationships across disciplines.
- Participate in the preparation of proposals, bids, and reports.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer License or on the path to obtaining it.
- 3-8 years of experience in design and project management in the power and utility industry.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project).
- Design experience in high voltage substations and distribution projects.
- Ability to create quality technical solutions for major power delivery projects.
- Commitment to business performance and continuous improvement.
