Responsibilities
- Integrate firmware and hardware for 3D printer prototypes.
- Define and implement control algorithms and calibration procedures.
- Develop sensor-based subsystems and characterize sensor performance.
- Manage subsystem and system level requirements.
- Debug system level issues and collaborate with engineering teams.
- Support product development from R&D to ongoing engineering.
- Collaborate with design teams to solve cross-disciplinary challenges.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience (3+ years) in designing electro-mechanical or robotic systems.
- Knowledge of motion control, sensors, and control algorithms.
- Experience in managing system and subsystem requirements.
- Proficiency in hardware debugging and understanding system functionality.
- Ability to work across mechanical, electrical, and embedded software disciplines.
- Comfortable with Linux systems and scripting in Python.
- Familiarity with low-level embedded firmware (C++ preferred) is a bonus.
