Responsibilities
- Build and lead a diverse team of engineers including systems, thermal, optical, firmware integration, and reliability engineers.
- Deliver fully integrated, reliability tested, complex hardware modules for digital fabrication tools.
- Take a hands-on approach as a core technical contributor for 3D printer development.
- Lead high-level architecture decision-making around sensing technologies, actuators, control algorithms, calibration techniques, and firmware architecture across all products.
- Balance customer value, cost, and engineering effort to deploy optimal solutions.
- Manage a team of full-time engineers and contribute to daily activities and technical decisions.
- Define high-level requirements and execute on low-level details.
Job Requirements
- Experience managing a team of full-time engineers.
- Proven track record in developing and shipping complex electro-mechanical products.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and solve complex challenges.
- Strong technical detail orientation across various systems and disciplines.
