Mechanical Engineering Intern (Fall 2025)

The Mechanical Engineering Intern at Formlabs will engage in hands-on engineering and rapid prototyping within the 3D printing sector. The internship offers a full-time commitment during Fall 2025, providing students the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of 3D printers.

• Design, assemble, test, and evaluate the performance of 3D printers.
• Participate in design reviews and assist in solving design, engineering, and manufacturing problems.
• Enhance time management and communication skills for effective engineering practice.
• Build prototype components and assemblies using in-house facilities.
• Utilize CAD skills for designing parts and assemblies, and create engineering drawings.
• Assist with communications to vendors and suppliers to address production challenges.

• Desire to improve engineering design skills and learn about product market processes.
• Experience with mechanical or electro-mechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience through lab research, project teams, internships, or work experience.
• An up-to-date resume and portfolio showcasing previous engineering work and learning applications.
