Responsibilities
- Run manual machining operations on a lathe, bridgeport, waterjet, laser cutter, and CNC router.
- Execute secondary operations including deburring and parts cleaning.
- Maintain the R&D machine shop through preventative maintenance duties.
- Execute workplace improvement projects such as custom rack fabrication and inventory management.
- Assist in planning and design review stages of projects.
- Work on projects that enhance R&D machining efforts.
- Collaborate with teams and communicate effectively throughout projects.
Job Requirements
- Passion for making and fabricating designs with mechanical and electrical hardware.
- Organized, autonomous, and focused independent operator.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Familiarity with machine tools and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.
- Bonus: Experience as a machinist or fabricator and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
