Responsibilities
- Run manual machining operations on various equipment including lathe, bridgeport, waterjet, laser cutter, and CNC router.
- Execute secondary operations such as deburring, parts cleaning, and inventory management.
- Perform preventative maintenance on shop tools and equipment.
- Participate in workplace improvement projects like custom rack fabrication and inventory management solutions.
- Assist in the planning and design review stages of projects.
- Work on projects that enhance R&D machining efforts.
- Maintain organization and collaboration within the team.
Job Requirements
- Passion for making and fabricating designs with mechanical and electrical hardware.
- Strong organizational and independent operational skills.
- Clear communication abilities and teamwork experience.
- Problem-solving mindset with an ability to handle diverse projects.
- Familiarity with machine tools and processes, with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.
- Bonus: Experience as a machinist or fabricator and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
