Responsibilities

  • Develop, build, or purchase manufacturing workstations and equipment for battery assembly.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback to engineering teams.
  • Design and document robust manufacturing processes ensuring safety and quality.
  • Assist in debugging and resolving issues with manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Train hands-on labor on new equipment and processes.
  • Collaborate with various teams to achieve manufacturing success.
  • Engage in hands-on building and testing of workstations and equipment.

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in equipment or manufacturing engineering, preferably in electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Experience in specifying, purchasing, and setting up assembly equipment.
  • Proficient in writing Standard Operating Procedures and manufacturing documentation.
  • Ability to provide DFM feedback to design engineers.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with diverse professionals.
  • Hands-on approach with a strong bias for action.
  • BS or higher in an Engineering discipline, with experience in relevant manufacturing techniques and technologies.
