Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of mechanical engineers for product development.
- Lead the mechanical design of components for the battery cell.
- Define and drive necessary analysis and hands-on testing of cell components.
- Analyze component and assembly tolerances for manufacturing and performance.
- Collaborate with module design engineers for seamless integration.
- Ensure design decisions meet safety standards in collaboration with safety teams.
- Partner with manufacturing engineers for high-volume production design packages.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of industry experience in mechanical design.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience leading and managing engineering teams.
- Expertise in plastic component design for structural applications.
- Knowledge of plastic sealing technologies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Direct experience with high-volume manufacturing and prototyping techniques.
