Responsibilities

  • Own process development for new products (NPI): DFM/DFA reviews, prototype/pilot builds, and production launch.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation: process flow, work instructions/SOPs, routings, BOMs, visual aids.
  • Perform time studies, line balancing, and capacity modeling (takt, OEE) to meet throughput and cost targets.
  • Lead continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma to reduce waste, scrap, and cycle time.
  • Specify, procure, and validate tooling/fixtures/test equipment; collaborate with maintenance and service.
  • Drive root-cause and corrective action; implement robust process controls and mistake-proofing.
  • Support change management (ECOs/PCNs) and ensure smooth implementation with training and documentation updates.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in mechanical/manufacturing/industrial engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4-6+ years in manufacturing/process engineering for discrete or electromechanical products.
  • Proven Lean problem-solving and data-driven decision making skills.
  • Proficiency with CAD for fixture/design review (e.g., Creo/SolidWorks/Inventor).
  • Hands-on experience with process documentation and change control (ECO).
  • Comfortable with ERP/MRP systems and basic cost/throughput modeling.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
