Responsibilities
- Design and implement bench-scale robotics and mechanical systems for automation.
- Create pneumatic, electro-mechanical, and optical solutions for research workcells.
- Perform CAD design and analysis using SolidWorks.
- Validate designs through 3D printing and rapid prototyping.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate mechanical designs with software and controls.
- Transition manual processes to automated workflows while ensuring safety and quality.
- Coordinate with vendors for custom component fabrication and system integration.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- 0-5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD design and understanding of GD&T.
- Experience with requirement management and product lifecycle management systems.
- Strong project execution and time management skills.
- Familiarity with automation systems and robotic integration preferred.
- Interest in life science and physical science applications.
