Responsibilities
- Provide vision and leadership for structural design, development, manufacturing, and integration of vehicles.
- Lead and manage a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians.
- Serve as chief architect for integrated airframe and tank structures.
- Establish and maintain department standards, processes, and documentation.
- Define and manage budget, headcount, schedules, and deliverables for the Structures Engineering department.
- Oversee hardware development, qualification test definitions, and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate closely with program leadership to ensure structural milestones align with company objectives.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years in aerospace structures with 5+ years in team leadership.
- B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related field.
- Demonstrated ownership of structural design/analysis and qualification testing.
- Proficiency in FEM, materials fundamentals, and test planning.
- Experience in change control and configuration management.
- Track record of hands-on design/analysis/test involvement while leading teams.
- Desired experience includes leadership of multi-program structures organizations and hands-on composites manufacturing oversight.
