Responsibilities
- Provide vision and leadership for structural design and development of vehicles.
- Lead and mentor a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians.
- Serve as chief architect of integrated airframe and tank structures.
- Establish and maintain department standards and processes.
- Define and manage budget, headcount, schedules, and deliverables for the department.
- Oversee hardware development and qualification test definitions.
- Coordinate with program leadership to align structural milestones with company objectives.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years in aerospace structures with 5+ years in leadership roles.
- B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related field.
- Proficiency in structural design/analysis and qualification testing.
- Hands-on experience in design, analysis, and testing while leading teams.
- Experience with change control and configuration management.
- Desired: 15+ years of experience and familiarity with aerospace standards.
- Desired: Hands-on composites manufacturing and testing experience.
