Responsibilities
- Provide vision and leadership for structural design, development, and integration of vehicles.
- Lead and mentor a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians.
- Serve as chief architect for integrated airframe and tank structures.
- Establish and maintain department standards and documentation.
- Define and manage budget, headcount, schedules, and deliverables.
- Oversee hardware development and qualification test definitions.
- Coordinate with program leadership to align structural milestones with company objectives.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years in aerospace structures with 5+ years in leadership roles.
- B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related field.
- Proven ownership of structural design and qualification test through flight.
- Proficiency in FEM and hand analysis.
- Experience as a player-coach in design, analysis, and testing.
- Experience with change control and configuration management.
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations.
