Responsibilities
- Design parts in 3D CAD that meet load conditions and durability requirements.
- Build prototypes to test assembly and range of motion.
- Generate accurate 2D drawings using GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Collaborate with the GSM team to select suppliers and order parts.
- Inspect first articles and build test stands for robot development.
- Support ongoing part development on robot platforms.
- Maintain clean documentation for design processes.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Biomechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or similar field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software for designing complex parts.
- Experience in designing and building prototypes.
- Familiarity with simulation and analysis methodologies (FEA, MATLAB).
- Knowledge of electromechanical integration, including sensors and motors.
- Experience with actuators and wire harness design is a plus.
