Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new U.S.-based manufacturing partners.
- Conduct on-site evaluations of suppliers' equipment, processes, and quality systems.
- Build long-term relationships with strategic manufacturing partners.
- Lead or support negotiations for Manufacturing Service Agreements (MSAs).
- Drive supplier development initiatives to improve quality and reliability.
- Manage a balanced domestic supplier portfolio and optimize spend allocation.
- Conduct regular on-site visits to assess constraints and improvement opportunities.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in supplier development or manufacturing sourcing.
- Hands-on experience with U.S.-based manufacturing suppliers.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and injection molding.
- Proven success in qualifying and managing manufacturing suppliers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Ability to travel 25–50%, primarily within the San Francisco Bay Area.
