Lead Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for spacecraft electrical systems and coordinate development across a high-performing team.
  • Own the architecture, development roadmap, and system integration of spacecraft electrical subsystems.
  • Lead electrical trades, part selection, and compliance planning.
  • Oversee board-level designs incorporating FPGAs, microcontrollers, and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, systems, and RF teams to meet mission objectives.
  • Direct and mentor a small team of electrical engineers.
  • Support project-level planning, cost/schedule estimation, and vendor engagement for electrical work packages.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical system design for aerospace or high-reliability embedded systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional hardware teams.
  • Deep understanding of power architectures, avionics interfaces, and high-reliability design.
  • Proficiency with Altium.
  • Strong experience with hardware bring-up and lab testing.
  • Familiarity with radiation effects and part selection strategies for LEO missions.
