Responsibilities
- Lead retrofit engineering solutions in the North American Hydro power industry.
- Develop Hydro Governor and Plant Control systems.
- Understand technical specifications for mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical controls.
- Program various control logic styles (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Flow Diagrams).
- Adapt PLC and HMI software for custom applications.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and commission new systems.
- Build control narratives and hardware/software test procedures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in controls and automation.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design software.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in a technical and mechanical setting.
- Ability to travel up to 30% for project support.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Preferred experience with PLC’s, DCS, and Hydro Control Units.
