Responsibilities
- Determine the nature, scope, and viability of assigned projects.
- Design and plan technical aspects of projects, ensuring incorporation of relevant background information.
- Perform design calculations and ensure accuracy of calculations by others.
- Prepare design sketches and notes for junior engineers or technicians.
- Document all design criteria, calculations, and decisions made.
- Oversee efforts of technicians, designers, and drafters on the project.
- Devise new approaches and solutions to engineering problems.
Job Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Good working knowledge of advanced engineering principles and applications.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Understanding of embedded system design and experience with microcontrollers.
- Experience with testing and validating embedded hardware in harsh environments.
- Familiarity with Schematic Capture and PCB Design, preferably with Altium or Cadence.
