Responsibilities
- Perform power system impact studies including Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability.
- Conduct NERC-compliance-related technical analyses such as TPL Annual Planning Assessments.
- Execute full generator interconnection studies, including Sub-Synchronous Resonance (SSR) studies.
- Ensure renewable and storage resource projects meet Voltage Ride-Through (VRT) requirements.
- Prepare technical study reports and maintain data for all studies.
- Manage project timelines and quality while adhering to budget objectives.
- Identify training needs and communicate them to the Engineering Manager.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power Systems preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a power systems engineer.
- Experience with power system impact studies and relevant software (PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, Aspen, TARA).
- Ability to train and oversee the work of other engineers and interns.
- Preferred experience in automating/programming with Python.
- Strong organizational, communication, and technical report writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to change.
