Responsibilities
- Support developers in navigating interconnection processes across the Western Interconnection System (WECC).
- Advise stakeholders on complex interconnection matters using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Review interconnection study results and work with the team to replicate findings and identify errors.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop new tools and services.
- Drive expansion into new regions.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and regulatory agencies.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the electric energy industry.
- Experience in IBR modelling, transmission planning, and interconnection studies.
- Strong understanding of FERC, NERC, and ISO interconnection requirements.
- Proficiency in software packages like PSLF, PowerWorld, PSSE, PSCAD, TARA, and ASPEN.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience in mentoring diverse teams.
- Direct experience with Utilities, TSPs, and Regulators in WECC is a plus.
