Responsibilities
- Architect and design complex electromechanical systems, including various components.
- Drive designs across the entire development lifecycle from brainstorming to production.
- Collaborate with industrial design, marketing, and product teams to shape product direction.
- Solve cross-functional problems by working with electrical, software, reliability, and manufacturing engineering teams.
- Perform analysis and testing to ensure designs meet product goals.
- Support manufacturing processes and ensure design for manufacturability and assembly.
- Travel to China as needed for manufacturing support.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of consumer product design experience with knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Track record of shipping high-volume consumer products.
- Proficient with 3D modeling and simulation tools (e.g. Solidworks, NX, Creo).
- Experience with design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA).
- Solid understanding of quality measurement techniques.
- BSME or equivalent; MS preferred.
- Willingness to travel to China as needed.
