Responsibilities
- Design and develop molds and fixtures for composite processing
- Create detailed tooling specifications and drawings for manufacturing
- Oversee tool fabrication with external vendors
- Develop heating and cooling systems
- Create and implement tool validation protocols
- Design part extraction systems and handling fixtures
- Develop tool maintenance procedures and schedules
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Tool Design or related field)
- 4+ years of experience in composite tooling design and development or similar fields
- Proficiency in CAD software for tool design
- Knowledge of tool materials and fabrication methods for composites
- Understanding of composite molding processes
- Experience with tool validation and qualification
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
