Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical design concept exploration, trade study analysis, down-selection, prototyping, and testing with minimal guidance.
- Define the design approach for specific problems and execute assignments independently.
- Contribute to technical reports and presentations with minimal guidance.
- Identify and communicate needs and concerns associated with design decisions to project leadership.
- Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary program team members.
- Balance multiple competing tasks and demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Utilize modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB and CAD software for design and analysis.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field; Master's preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or full cycle mechanical design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Curiosity-driven approach to problem-solving as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
