Responsibilities
- Work with internal engineers to qualify new hardware and firmware for the fleet.
- Assist in design and validation of new hardware platforms.
- Engage with hardware vendors on bug fixes and updates.
- Improve existing processes around hardware/firmware qualification.
Job Requirements
- Technical Degree (BS Computer Science/Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
- Understanding of x86 server hardware architecture and subsystems.
- Knowledge of configuration management best practices (Ansible and Chef).
- Comfortable in Linux (or Unix) operating systems.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tooling (IPMI/Redfish, PXE, UEFI).
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or Go).
- Passion for hardware, both new and old.
