Responsibilities
- Qualify new hardware and firmware for the server fleet.
- Assist in the design and validation of new hardware platforms.
- Engage with hardware vendors for bug fixes and updates.
- Improve processes around hardware/firmware qualification.
Job Requirements
- Technical Degree (BS in Computer Science/Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of x86 server hardware architecture and subsystems.
- Knowledge of configuration management best practices (Ansible, Chef).
- Comfortable working in Linux or Unix operating systems.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tooling (IPMI/Redfish, PXE, UEFI).
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and proficiency in a programming language (Python or Go).
- Passion for hardware, both new and old.
