Responsibilities
- Design indoor sheet metal enclosures and products according to specifications.
- Develop mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements.
- Compile and release bills-of-material (BOM) and engineering documentation.
- Interface with suppliers regarding product design and cost issues.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Procurement, Production, and Quality departments.
- Communicate effectively with peers as a team player.
- Utilize CAD modeling software for design and prototyping.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Minimum of 10 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in telecom power/electronics.
- Proficiency in metal enclosure designs and 3D/2D CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD).
- Understanding of AC and DC circuits, including 3-phase AC and low-voltage DC.
- Experience in developing technical documentation.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and graphic presentation software.
- Knowledge of power systems engineering and relevant industry standards (Telcordia, UL, NEC, NEBS).
