Responsibilities
- Design AC and DC power and system products according to specifications and standards.
- Perform sheet metal and plastic design.
- Compile and release bills-of-material (BOM) and drawings for projects.
- Interface with suppliers on product design and cost issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments for procurement and production.
- Develop products by researching and testing manufacturing methods and materials.
- Communicate technical knowledge clearly and effectively in a team environment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of mechanical design experience in the telecom power or electronics industry.
- Proficient in CAD modeling software (Solidworks, AutoCAD).
- Good understanding of AC and DC circuits.
- Familiarity with Telcordia, UL, National Electric Code, and NEBS requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
