Responsibilities
- Interface with clients and external partners.
- Plan and direct work, manage project budgets from a mechanical design perspective on small to medium-sized projects.
- Support proposal development under the supervision of a lead or senior engineer.
- Identify non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveys.
- Develop construction drawing packages and write specifications on intermediate projects.
- Lead project system design programming and master planning with support from senior engineers.
- Mentor earlier-career engineers on projects related to HVAC and plumbing systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with Mechanical Option.
- 10+ years of experience in a design firm setting.
- Advanced experience in engineering calculations and HVAC, mechanical utility, plumbing, and piping systems design.
- Proficiency in mechanical/plumbing/fire code and applicable building codes.
- Experience conducting field surveys of existing conditions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
- Professional Registration (Licensure) and sustainability accreditation preferred.
