Responsibilities
- Cross-train through the department to learn hands-on skills related to industrial/engineering technologies.
- Complete and analyze time and motion studies.
- Document and report/suggest changes.
- Collaborate with leadership on process improvement initiatives.
- Create, review, and update existing process flow layouts.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities related to process, quality, and safety improvements.
- Present a report on an improvement project at the end of the internship.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office programs and knowledge of Lean tools preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to work a flexible schedule.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement practices.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
